Digital print and the environment

Amazing colour printing on responsibly sourced paper

We use a range of FSC® certified substrates – the qualifying products can then carry the FSC logo. Most businesses in the UK are now finding that their marketing and brand images are boosted when they use environmentally sound papers.

Short run digital printing minimizes waste!

As parents, the team at Purely Digital believe that global warming is the most important issue facing the world today and we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible.

With our expertise, our HP Indigo 5500 Press gives stunning results, as good as the very best of offset but without all the paper-waste. Plus you only need to print your present requirements, keeping your costs down and saving on storage!

What we know about climate change

The video below is a 10-minute summary of the case for climate change science. It explains in simple language the chemistry and physics behind the greenhouse effect, highlights a few of the many, many studies from around the world showing empirical evidence supporting climate change theory, and explains why you shouldn't be looking for "the one study to rule them all".

Do you want to reduce your carbon footprint? We can help!

We are very concerned about the care of our planet and ever since we installed our HP Indigo Press (which reduces paper waste, energy usage and consumable consumption), we have been looking at ways to carry our green ethos forward.

We do this by the following practices:

With the help of E.ON and Climate Care, 100% of the carbon emissions from our premises are offset, helping to combat the effects of climate change.

The heat produced by the press is ducted back inside to help heat the building.

The press has a recycling system internally, that helps reduce waste by over 66% compared to earlier models.

Our consumable items from the press are collected by a waste management company and are recycled or reconditioned.

The toner cartridges from our desktop printers and large format printers are also collected for recycling.

We have recently added to our range the Mohawk Everyday Digital and Mohawk Options PC100 range of materials which is being manufactured by using wind and hydro sources. This range of material boasts to be carbon neutral within is production processes.

I’ve just got in and found the proposals on my desk – they look absolutely superb! Thanks so much for turning those around so quickly and professionally.
